Summary: Team Plasma was misguided.
Rood harbors no illusions that his attempts at expiation will erase the severity of his past misdeeds. Indeed, perhaps nothing can measure up to them. Perhaps he's been too dilatory in trying to make amends.
Team Plasma was misguided. Deceived. Roughly half of them remain so, determined to follow Ghetsis to the bitter end.
He does his best to guide those who prefer to follow N's example. Not to lead them, necessarily; merely to assist.
Unova has been traumatized by Team Plasma's efforts. It might be too late to make up for those sins.
But Rood is determined to try.
