Summary:
An: Written for the anythingdrabble prompt: Burn
It was the end of the first day of The Quest (as Ray called it) and Fraser, Ray and Dief had set up camp. Fraser lit a fire with dry pine logs. The smell of burning wood filled the air and maybe it was his imagination, but Fraser thought that the wood from Canada smelled much more strongly than the wood from Chicago.
As the wood burned, Ray stared into the fire and the flames cast his face in orange light.
It reminded Fraser of Victoria in candle light, but it was also different. Ray didn’t have darkness in him.
