When he finished, he waited. The hall was quiet and only after a long moment did Lucifer finally look at him.
"You're a day late."
"I know."
"I was worried.."
"Lucifer..."
"Welcome back."
Lucifer closed his book and finally set it aside before beckoning Azazel to him.
Azazel couldn't help his surprise. It had only been one day!
But after everything, yes, he'd take this.
