I need for some brave knight to come rescue me
From the boredom that I constantly feel
To help me shake off my ceaseless ennui
I need an adventure that seems so real

Now, hold on; I don't crave such peril dire
But an illusion designed just to simulate
The risky ventures that I so much admire
Oh, save me from sameness ere it's too late

Whisk me into a wonderful and exciting book
Or a truly addictive new video game
Just let me take a wonderful, if only brief, look
So that my life is no longer the same
