This was it: Joey's Broadway debut.
The theater was packed to maximum capacity; standing-room-only didn't even begin to cover just how crowded the house was.
After enough anticipation had built up, both onstage and off, the curtain rose. Wild applause filled the air as Joey made his first entrance.
After the final scene, there was a massive standing ovation. And then...
Joey bolted awake.
He stared at his bedroom ceiling for a few minutes, basking in the leftovers of that wonderful footlight glow.
"Someday, man," he murmured, smiling as he snuggled back into his pillow. "It'll happen someday."
