After helping Buffy carry the heavy Persian rug to her room, Dawn watched her sister struggle to fit it within the limited space between the bed and the dresser.
Eventually, she lifted the foot of the bed and shoved part of the rug under it.
“I don’t know why you insisted on getting this rug at the thrift shop. It doesn’t even go with the furniture,” said Dawn.
“Spike will know,” she answered, standing beside her sister. “It’s an inside joke.”
“Do I even wanna know?”
“If you’re overly curious, it involves rug burns and handcuffs.”
“Why did I ask?”
