Summary: Monica flopped onto the couch beside him.
"Ugh! I can't believe those idiots," Monica growled, stomping into Central Perk. "I'll need the strongest coffee you've got," she added in an aside to Gunther. Nodding, the barista went straight to work.
Ross grinned quizzically, taking in his kid sister's appearance. "Any particular reason why you look like you're covered in flour and powdered sugar," he dared to ask. The answer was sure to be interesting.
Monica flopped onto the couch beside him. "I just made the mistake of trying to give a baking lesson to Joey and Chandler. It damn near killed me. Oh, thank you, Gunther," she moaned, accepting the drink that she'd ordered.
"Well, I'm sure that wasn't a picnic," Ross reasonably responded. "Those guys could do with a babysitter even on their best days."
"This was not one of their 'best days'," was the surly reply.
"Okay." He slid over a plate of scones in her direction. "Tell me about it."
Monica took a hearty bite, before proceeding. "First, Chandler had to ask why every single step in the recipe was in that order. Then, he and Joey got the bright idea to use my two best rolling pins for a sword fight. Both are in pieces now."
At that, Ross couldn't help raising an eyebrow. "By 'both', are you referring to the two rolling pins, or to Joey and Chandler?"
"I'm referring to the rolling pins. Believe me, though: It took every single ounce of restraint to keep from putting Joey and Chandler in the same state!"
"I see," Ross muttered, trying not to laugh. The mental image, to him, sounded a lot more amusing than the experience itself must have been to Monica. "Hey, Gunther," he called, pointing to Monica. "I think we're gonna need a refill over here. The stronger, the better!"
