Feeling his confusion mounting, Mike stared at the pile of cloth that surrounded Peter. "You mind tellin' me just what it is that you're up to," he asked.
Peter grinned distractedly, trying to thread a needle. "I thought I'd make stockings for all of us for this Christmas. I only forgot one thing," he said, his face falling slightly.
"Yeah? What's that?"
"I forgot that I don't know how to sew."
"Let me out of here! I'm stuck," a large stocking hollered, in what sounded suspiciously like Davy's voice.
"Because I made Davy's a bit too big," Peter glumly concluded.
