Challenge 236 = Hunter / Fandom: Supernatural
Title: Not a Hunter
Character: Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester
Word Count: 200
Prompt: hunter
Finished: 02.05.2022
„Dean?“ Sam stared at the young man standing on the porch with his eyes wide open. How long was it that he had seen him for the last time? Only some months, but it seemed like ages. The day, he had decided to leave brother and dad behind to grab the chance of his life. Going to college. Living together with the woman he loved.
Even if was grown up like one, he had never been a hunter. Not like Dean, who had the family business never put into question. He didn't care about school, friends, a home. Always on the road, ready to face every danger, no matter the consequences.
Their dad had been proud of him. Even if he never talked about it, Sam could read it in his eyes when he looked at Dean. He never looked at Sam in this way; always made him feel as if he was only a burden to him.
To leave everything behind had finally been the only right decision. But also the hardest one.
„Dean,“ Sam repeated. „What are you doing here?“
„We need to talk,“ his brother said. And he already knew what would happen next.
