Title: The Three Spheres Test
The instructor nodded, satisfied, and ticked off a box on their scroll. Three elemental orbs of differing alignments now floated around the Elf girl's head, shimmering and burning with raw magical potential. Raising her staff with a rather unnecessary theatrical flourish, the young Princess Teiris made the orbs gracefully spin faster and faster, rise into the air, then summon the elementals one by one.
She'd passed her magical training, easily completing what was a very advanced exam for her age. If only she wasn't so easily startled, with no instinct for battle whatsoever, she'd make a half-decent ruler as well.
