Title: Abyss Stares Back
He'd considered disguising himself as one of them but he couldn't bring himself to do even that. To pass himself off as one of the cyborg monstrosities in front of their security systems he'd need to install at least something emulating their chaotic virus-ridden code. Then he'd need to appear like one of them to the guards - to strap something resembling their steam-powered ramshackle cybernetic technology to himself, to feign the wounds and ghoulish mutations they all had from their fundamental incompatibility with existence. There was a fine line, too imperceptibly close, between mimicking a demon and becoming one.
