"Absence," the redhead adventuress told her between deep pulls of finest craft beer, "Does not make the heart grow fonder. Not for us. It makes people assume we're dead or forget we exist altogether."
"I have no idea what happened to her, because I haven't heard any news of her for years either. Time goes fast in this world. Doesn't mean you should go constantly changing who you are, though," she stared pointedly at the Goddess, "But pretending you don't exist isn't the way to deal with people who demand you screw up your own identity on purpose. It just means you end up with no allies at all. It takes strength, to both stay in the sight of the people and resist their attempts to change you, but that's why you were given the strength of a goddess. Whereas I am doomed to wander this world living off my sword and synthesizer."
"You don't seem to be doing badly for yourself, though."
"I don't, eh? But there is so much I still need to do. For instance," she ruffled her short hair, "Try asking one of your overseas fans who I'm dressed as right now. Go and visit them. Right now. In person. I can't afford a ticket - we gorgeous redhead adventurers need special boat insurance, you know, there's bad history- but you have no excuse."
"You're right. I could use a vacation," she sighed and stretched.
"Oh, and, Neptune?" Falcom grinned, "You seriously need to invite me over more often."
"I guess it has been a while," she replied, absent-mindedly stirring her hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows.
She still had no idea where Climax had gotten to but it had been an enlightening conversation in other ways.
"Is that happened to Lady Climax?" asked Neptune.
