It's enough to drive him bonkers. Is Amy pregnant, or not?! She can't be both. No species in the entire universe has ever managed to evolve to both be and not be pregnant simultaneously. It's simply not possible.
If she's not, then that's fine. She and Rory are young enough to have several years to start a family.
If she is, however...well.
The TARDIS may generally be the safest place in the universe. But it's not the wisest place for a developing fetus, or the woman who's carrying it.
